North Desert - Sarlaac, Skywalker

This 27 mile intermediate+ loop runs the Skywalker singletrack and Sarlacc in reverse, starting from the 16 Road (Coal Gulch) parking lot in the North Fruita Desert.

The route climbs the Book Cliffs and follows the ridge with amazing views of the Grand Valley. Trails are moderate-speed “flowy” singletrack over clay, sand, and some rock, with a fair amount of sidehill and exposure. Riders should possess solid intermediate skills and reasonable riding endurance.
