Bangs Canyon - Intermediate, Horse Mesa Loop

This 18 mile loop runs from the Third Flats Trailhead out along Third Flats Rd and through the Horse Mesa 50” trail system in the rocky high desert south-west of Grand Junction. The route is a mix of full-width trail and 50” ATV trails that includes slickrock, sand, loose rocks, and some ledges.

Riders should have solid intermediate skills and reasonable riding endurance. There will be scheduled rest stops to take in the views and have a snack. The time on trail will be approximately 4 hours.
